Six Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm was among an important group of artist-illustrated books bequeathed by Ryda H. Levi. In it, David Hockney illustrates his own favorite stories from the Brothers Grimm. In the etching shown here, Rapunzel lowers her flowing hair from her tower’s sole window.
