Richard Cleaver’s ceramic sculptures reinterpret earlier traditions of ritual statuary with narratives that come from the artist’s own life and dreams. Given by the artist, Ares, God of War, was featured in the BMA’s 2009 exhibition of the Baker Artist Award winners.
