Enjoy the opportunity to see a rare or new film at the BMA on the first Thursday of each month. Films are shown in the Meyerhoff Auditorium on the 2nd floor, and are free and open to the public.

Made popular by Billie Holiday’s haunting 1939 rendition of “Strange Fruit,” this film portrays the lynching of an African-American man in the South. See the movie and hear BMA Educator Marcia Gregory speak on the Museum’s Alison Saar sculpture of the same name.
