Explore art big and small at the third annual ArtBlast!, a fun-filled day of performances, art-making, and gallery activities for all ages!
Investigate the strange, playful, and simply gigantic works in this fall’s special exhibition, Franz West, To Build a House You Start with the Roof, then make your own supersized sculpture. Pick-up your Big & Small Family Guide and investigate art in all shapes and sizes, and dance to big sounds performed by Milkshake and The Swingin' Swamis. Held rain or shine.

A Perfect Balance
Watch the creative process literally unfold as Sandy, a young artist, take his two-dimensional shapes “off the page” and creates a 17-foot long mobile that suspends into the audience. A Perfect Balance is an interactive, multi-media theatrical performance that combines movement, dance, mime, projections, and visual art.3-4 p.m., Terrace
The Swingin’ Swamis
The Swingin’ Swamis perform an eclectic set of jazz and world rhythms from 1930s jazz to 1970s funk and everything in between.4–5 p.m., Woodward Gallery
Three Stories Tall
Master storyteller Jon Spelman entertains with tales, both warm and funny, gathered from the richness of American rural telling, urban folklore, family anecdotes, and folk tales.
