The campaign for The Baltimore Museum of Art will support physical transformation, making the Museum more dynamic, welcoming, and memorable.
Our plans call for creative reinstallations of the American, African, and Contemporary Art collections that incorporate new curatorial research, fresh educational perspectives, thoughtful design, and innovative technology that re-enliven these distinguished collections. Renovations of the East Wing Lobby include a more welcoming orientation for visitors, as well as improved amenities and an updated BMA Shop. Critical improvements to the Museum’s infrastructure include two new roofs and a state-of-the-art building automation system.
The BMA will be open throughout the three-year construction period beginning in February 2011. This exciting transformation is expected to be completed in 2014 for the BMA's 100th anniversary.
We invite you to join us as we shine a light on the BMA.
