St. Jerome Reading in the Desert

How does this depiction of St. Jerome differ from Dürer’s?

St. Jerome was a hermit and a scholar. This print depicts St. Jerome reading the Bible within a mountainous landscape, emphasizing his retreat from the world. His loyal companion, the lion, stands to the left. By contrast, Dürer shows him within a well-appointed study, surrounded by similar attributes but emphasizing the saint’s scholarly labors.
