Portrait of Elizabeth Brooke Carroll of Annapolis attributed to John Wollaston, 1758. Oil on canvas. Three-quarter portrait of Elizabeth Brooke Carroll (1709-1761) who was officially married to Charles Carroll of Annapolis (1702-1782) in 1757, although they were common law spouses from about 1736. The year after they were officially married, this portrait was painted.
