Literacy Through Art
Literacy Through Art is a tour program designed to support the Baltimore County Public Schools’ curriculum for pre-K and kindergarten students. Each tour introduces vocabulary students are learning in the classroom while exploring a different theme through works of art in the Museum’scollection.
Through guided looking, conversation, and playful in-gallery activities, students build early language skills while developing observation, curiosity, and imagination.
Pre-K student themes include:
- My Community
- Let’s Investigate
- Earth & Sky
Kindergarten student themes include:
- Design & Play
- Identity, Portraits & Personalities
- Nature, Near & Far
Feel free to book more than one tour for your class and explore all the themes.
