Gaston le Foix (1489-1512), the Duke of Nemours and a great warrior, is represented as a medieval knight in full armour riding a horse also in full armour. He sists straight in the saddle and holds a lance/pole in his proper right hand while holding the reins in his proper left hand. A sheathed sword hangs from the proper left side of his waist. The horse's proper left front and proper right back legs are raised; the tip of its very bushy tail is tied. Base: rectangular ground with rim.
