(taken from NUNO list) The silver polyester fabric is folded repeatedly at sharp, crisp angles as for origami and dyed in three separate hues (this example in silver and black), then 'permanent pressed' in a special pleating process that is presently patent pending. The resulting pattern is abstract, yet suggests innumerable shapes--like a medieval game of tangrams. The fabric is then finished as a scarf.

Inscribed: The scarf has a woven tag with the Japanese character for NUNO. A paper tag is attached by thread to the woven tag that lists the pattern number, fiber contents and care instructions, as well as 'Made in Japan.'
