The Nnee used pouches to carry small objects or other valuables such as tobacco. While men were responsible for hunting, women were responsible for preparing hides (photo) and turning these into useful and beautiful products for the family. This pouch is decorated in a manner similar to those made by Plains women. Shells attached to the typically long fringes produce a rattling noise which celebrates the movement of the wearer.
