Graceful swags of foliage suspended by ribbons are engraved into the surface of this stately wine cooler, enhancing its gentle curves. The person to whom the initials J.M.W. refer has not been identified, reminding us that personal histories found on silver are fragile and can be easily obscured without attendant documentation.
